Three relegation-threatened clubs had to go in the Bundesliga on Sunday. None of them could do so well in the fight for relegation. The two encounters at a glance:
RB Leipzig vs. FC St. Pauli
RB Leipzig is at the end of the 21st game day in the Bundesliga on a Champions League starting area. The Saxons won 2-0 (2-0) against FC St. Pauli at home and thus finished fourth. Benjamin Sesko in the 16th minute and Xavi Simons in the 35th minute ensured the 2-0 before the break.
After a red card for Willi Orban in the middle of the second half, Leipzig outnumbered the first success after four playless games over time. Aufleriger St. Pauli is 14 points ahead of the relegation rank in 14th place.
Holstein Kiel vs. VfL Bochum 2: 2
Holstein Kiel and VfL Bochum compete in the relegation race of the Bundesliga. The two cellars separated 2: 2 (1: 2) in direct duel and missed the urgently needed liberation. The Kiel prevented the draw from slipping into the last place in the table, where the Bochumers continue to rank.
Steven Skrzybski had given the Kieler in the lead in the third minute. The Bochumers were in the meantime with a double strike through Myron Boadu (37th/39th) before Holstein’s defense chief David Zec (50th) managed to equalize for the hosts.
