UEFA does not allow Bayern jerseys in the Champions League
In the playoffs of the Champions League, FC Bayern has to go against Celtic Glasgow. You still have to leave your original jersey at home because you do not meet UEFA regulations.
FC Bayern still has to do without the red home jerseys in the Champions League. The reason is that the contrast of the black back numbers to the red color is not strong enough. The jersey violates the visibility regulations of the UEFA.
The jersey is not forbidden, but an adaptation with white numbers and names would have been necessary – the people of Munich have so far dispensed. Instead of in red, they have been running either in the black alternative jersey or in the retro jersey in beige with old club coat of arms.
FC Bayern is warned: RB Leipzig lost in Celtic-Park
The waiver of the original jersey does not change the fact that FC Bayern goes into the playoffs against the Scottish champion on Wednesday evening as a high favorite. However, the first leg takes place in the Celtic Park in Glasgow, and there the Scots are a serious opponent.
This season they are still unbeaten in twelve league games and four champions League games at home. Brendan Rodgers, coach of Celtic, has already sent a clear words towards Munich: “I have no doubt that we can hurt Bavaria. We showed in every level that goals are in us.”
RB Leipzig had to find out that it can be uncomfortable in the Glasgow cauldron: The Saxons lost 1: 3 in the group phase.
