Psychotricks in sports
Hoffenheim coach is said to have shown dildo for motivation
Sophisticated motivational speeches of football coaches are legendary. Now the coach of TSG Hoffenheim has delivered another variant in cooking apron and with sex toys in hand.
Football coaches sometimes imagine bizarre methods to motivate their players. Christoph Daum once let Bayer Leverkusen run over glass shards and later even once over glowing coals. Jürgen Klopp played a video of the team of Borussia Dortmund with the famous Haka dance of New Zealand Maori to mentally upgrade them.
Now the coach of TSG Hoffenheim, Christian Ilzer, has expanded the list of sophisticated motivational knits by an interesting variant. As the “Sport Bild” wants to experience, Ilzer showed a dildo last December before the home game against SC Freiburg.
Hoffenheim coach appeared as a cook with a hat and shooter
The sex toy was apparently part of a sophisticated motivational speech that the coach held in front of the team and staff in the cabin. To do this, the Austrian came up with a hat and apron – and touched an imaginated magic potion, for which you need certain “ingredients” so that it works. The background: Hoffenheim had lost three games in a row at the time and was in crisis, despite the change of coach, a few weeks earlier.
The ingredients of Ilzer consisted of chilli pods to bring “more sharpness” into the game of his team. And then it was about the “manpower”. Ilzer is said to have actually shown a dildo and said corresponding words.
Appearance showed little effect
Over two months later, the spectacular speech in Hoffenheim is an issue, officially the club does not want to comment. The performance hardly worked. The following game against Freiburg ended 1: 1, then the team continued to slip in the table. Most recently there was a sense of achievement with the victory at Werder Bremen, but Hoffenheim is still in the relegation battle.
