Serious knee injury: World Cup for Ski jumper Görlich over
Fast end of the World Cup hopes: Luisa Görlich is injured in the qualification in Trondheim and has to leave. It is already the third serious knee injury in her career.
Ski jumping world champion Luisa Görlich has to leave the Nordic Ski World Championships before the first competition. This was announced by the German Ski Association (DSV) in the morning after qualification. “I assume a serious injury in her right knee, but an exact diagnosis will only make an MRI recording possible. We bring Luisa home promptly for that,” team doctor Florian Porzig was cited.
The 26 -year -old Thuringian was bent with his leg after landing and treated in the run. Görlich’s jump from the normal ski jump to 93 meters despite the point deductions for the qualification. However, she cannot perceive her starting position today (2 p.m./ZDF and Eurosport).
After returning in Germany, a nuclear spin examination should decide on further treatment. Görlich was part of the gold quartet in the team competition two years ago in the Slovenian Planica. Already in spring 2018 and spring 2024 she suffered a cruciate ligament tear.
