FC Bayern benefits from Stuttgart’s Patzern in the southern stroke

Goal scorer Harry Kane balled his fists, coach Vincent Kompany scurried a smile on the way to his players on the lawn. FC Bayern took the next step towards the championship and has already joined the royal class cracker.

The Munich team won the southern stroke of the Bundesliga at VfB Stuttgart 3-1 (1: 1). The record champion expanded his lead at the top of the table to pursuer Bayer Leverkusen, at least temporarily to eleven points. And he got other confidence for the round of 16 in the Champions League against the Werkelf on Wednesday.

VfB showed the courage demanded by coach Sebastian Hoeneß and rewarded himself after a good half an hour. After Deniz Undav initially left a huge opportunity (31st), Stiller scored with a tight shot from the penalty area border to 1-0.

Of all people, the native of Munich and former youngsters from Bavaria – it was not just a nice goal, but one with a special note.

But the response from the guests, who now invested a little more, was not long in coming. Leroy Sané, who had lost the ball before the goal, sent the very striking Olise on the trip – and the 24 -year -old hit the left corner with a placed shot. The gate was checked for a long time because of a possible offside position and ultimately given.

After the break, Bavaria’s striker Harry Kane came into a dangerous final position, but failed due to Nübel (63.).

Only shortly later, the Stuttgart served the Munich gift for their 125th birthday. Nübel brought in trouble with his allusion of silent, Goretzka intervened – and sank the ball to 1: 2. “The ball is too risky in the situation,” admitted Nübel. “Today we only lose the game because we made too many mistakes.” It hurts extremely. Goretzka, on the other hand, revealed: “Funnily enough, I told the coach during the break that I would score such a goal. I speculated on that.”

VfB tried to equalize in the final phase. Bayern, however, made the goal through the substitute Coman after a careless ball loss of the hosts at the center line.
