The Carinthian had to settle for sixth place in Zhangjiakou. After a courageous performance with spectacular jumps, the 30-year-old lost a lot of points when he landed a “Frontside Double Underflip 900 Indy” improperly in her last run. Olympic champion is Zoi Sadowski Synnott from New Zealand.
Synnott prevailed with 92.88 points ahead of Julia Marino from the USA (87.68) and Tess Coady from Australia (84.15). Gasser finished the competition with 75.33 points and can now concentrate on her second appearance in the Big Air, where she won gold four years ago in Pyeongchang.
