Lyon’s trainer closed after freaking out for months
He only trains Lyon for a little more than a month, but now Paulo Fonseca is out. It is blocked by the league – for a very long time.
After his outburst of anger in the championship game against Stade Brest, Olympique Lyon’s coach Paulo Fonseca must not look after his team for months. The 52-year-old Portuguese, who only started the post at Lyon on January 31, was massively punished for his behavior towards the referee by the disciplinary commission of the French football league.
Lyon’s trainer also prohibited access to changing rooms
It must not be on the sidelines by November 30th. By September 15, he is also prohibited from accessing the changing room of his team on match days. The punishment immediately comes into force, the statement said.
Fonseca saw the red card in the game against Brest last Sunday in added time when he had gestured and screaming a possible penalty whistle for the guests.
When referee Benoît Millot showed him the red card, Fonseca practically built up a millimeter before the referee and cried out from body strength.
