Third place in ski flying: Friday shines with patience test

At the end of a memorable ski flight day, Selina Freitag made a podium in Vikers and Norwegian. The 23 -year -old ski jumper flew exactly 200 meters in the afternoon and only had to give up the day winner Nika Prevc (213.5 meters) and her Slovenian compatriot EMA Klinec (204.5 meters).
Double world champion Prevc celebrated her 20th birthday with the next victory and is also considered a clear favorite on Sunday. Behind Friday, Katharina Schmid (9th) and Juliane Seyfarth (13th) also managed to the top 15.
Jumps from the morning can be canceled
In the morning, curious scenes had occurred. After 19 of the 22 participants were able to fly down relatively easily, the wind got stronger. Just on Friday had to wait again and again, afterwards, this fate suffered Eirin Maria Kvandal from Norway.
“It was quite annoying. My feet fell asleep at the top. It was really deaf,” said Friday on ZDF. The wind then became even stronger, making a flight from PrevC impossible. The result was demolished and a cancellation. It was restarted in the afternoon, the decision was then made in one round.
