Beckenbauer Cup: These top stars were there at the tournament in Munich

In the 90s and early 2000s, the gray season was the time of the big indoor tournaments. Watching the professionals with a gang all Sunday during the game on the game – that already had something. The games were faster, more technical and more goals were scored.

A round of legends as it is in the book took place on Monday evening in Munich-the Beckenbauer Cup. And in that there was a reunion with some very well -known representatives of their guild.

The team of the teams can already be found like a small best of football history: FC Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Ajax Amsterdam-and VfB Stuttgart. The latter may not bring the great international shine to the SAP Garden in Munich, but for the German audience he offered one or the other football promi.

The benefit tournament was part of the 125th anniversary of FC Bayern and was supposed to pay tribute to the late honorary president Franz Beckenbauer. In the end, 75,000 euros went to the Franz Beckenbauer Foundation, which is committed to social issues. The tournament-it should be very right to the organizer-won FC Bayern Munich, which reached particularly deep into the former box and sent his famous wing pliers from Arjen Robben and Franck Ribéry to the field.

The team won 4: 0 in the final against Real Madrid, which in turn did not stuck to the Bavarian capital with goalkeeper Iker Casillas or the eternal defender Pepe Weltstar. The goals for Bayern scored in the final Giovane Elber (two goals), Mark van Bommel and Rafinha.
