Tuchel with England on the World Cup course: victory against Latvia
Thomas Tuchel fetches the second win with England in the second game. The success against Latvia will bring the Three Lions of the World Cup closer next year.
With England’s national soccer team, Thomas Tuchel took another step towards the World Cup. The German coach won the second victory in the second game of the World Cup qualification with the Three Lions 3-0 (1-0) against Latvia. REECE JAMES (38th minute), Harry Kane (68th) and Eberechi Eze (76.) scored the goals for the English who lead the K group. The Vice -European champion won the first game under Tuchel 2-0 against Albania last Friday.
The English dominated the game right from the start, but initially struggled against the deep outsider. Latvia was almost permanently in defense mode and let the hosts come. Jude Bellingham and Co. found a gap in the first round. So a free kick had to serve that James circulated in the goal to the delight of Tuchels.
Even after the break, Tuchel’s team remained significantly superior, even if the game remained tough due to the low -standing laten. England sought and looked for the gap until Kane finally found it after preparatory work by Declan Rice and only had to insert it. Eze finally ensured the final score.
