Sensation victory: third division club Bielefeld throws Leverkusen out of the cup
Arminia Bielefeld is the cup phenomenon: the third division team conquered Bayer Leverkusen and is in the final in Berlin.
Outsiders Arminia Bielefeld is in his club history in the final of the DFB Cup for the first time. Thanks to a 2: 1 (2: 1) home success, the third-division soccer team surprisingly switched off defending champion Bayer Leverkusen. Opponent in the final on May 24th in the Berlin Olympic Stadium is the winner of the game between VfB Stuttgart and RB Leipzig, which faces each other on Wednesday evening (8:45 p.m./ZDF and Sky).

Bayer struggled and had to accept the second goal shortly before the break whistle. The goal scorer was the advanced defender Maximilian Große (45th). Leverkusen also had problems after the change of sides – and also bad luck: attacker Patrik Schick failed with the greatest chance of heading on the post (81.).
