Together they became Champions League winners and shaped an era at Bayern. Franck Ribéry has now ended his own career – but he would like to continue seeing Thomas Müller in Munich.
Franck Ribéry spoke out for the whereabouts of his former teammate Thomas Müller at FC Bayern Munich if the veteran wants to play football for another year. “Thomas is very important for the cabin and has a big influence. It is important, regardless of whether he plays for 90 minutes or five minutes,” said Ribéry of the “Sport Bild” (Wednesday). “Thomas did so much for the club for the city of Munich. If he wants to play another year, the club should give him this contract.”
Müller’s contract expires on June 30th. After a possible Champions League final in the Allianz Arena on May 31, the club World Cup in the USA, which ends on July 13, is still up to Bayern. For the future, it is becoming apparent that the now 35 -year -old veteran Müller will not get a new contract at FC Bayern after a quarter of a century.
