Striker Anthony Martial has revealed that he turned down FC Barcelona and Juventus to sign for Sevilla FC in the winter. The Frenchman told the Spanish newspaper Diario de Sevillethat his agents have been in touch with both the Catalans and the Old Lady representatives, but that Sevilla has always been his first choice.
“It’s true. Juventus tried to sign me,” explained the Manchester United loanee. “I spoke to my agent and told him I’d rather go to Seville. It was the best option for me and my family. FC Barcelona also spoke to my agent.”
