Also this year no four -hill tour for women
The ski jumping winter for the athletes is upgraded. However, the word “four -hille tour” cannot be found in the plans of the World Association.
Waiting the ski jumpers for the first time a four -hill tour continues. As can be seen from the calendar design of the World Association FIS, there should be no tour for women in the coming winter.
The competitions of the so-called Two-Nights tour in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (December 31) and Oberstdorf (January 1, 2026) are again part of the World Cup calendar. After that, however, it does not go to Innsbruck and Bischofshofen as with the men, but for two competitions on January 3 and 4 to Villach.
Tour is probably late for Schmid
The news for Germany’s most successful ski jumper Katharina Schmid is particularly bitter. The seven -time world champion has announced that she would end her career in Italy after the 2026 Winter Olympics at the latest and then want to devote herself to family planning with her husband Patrick. Active participation on a four -hill tour that women have been working on for years had always issued Schmid as a big goal.
The biggest logistical problem is the lack of floodlights in Innsbruck. A second ski flying in Slovenian Planica is new. So far, the women had only competed in ski flying in Vikersund in Norway.
For men, the tour dates are December 29, January 1, January 4 and January 6th. The World Cup in Willingen (January 30 to February 1) is intended as a dress rehearsal for the Olympics.
