Werner Lorant, former coach of TSV 1860 Munich, died on Easter Sunday at the age of 76. The association mourns the loss of one of its most successful coaches.
The former coach of TSV 1860 Munich, Werner Lorant, died on Easter Sunday at the age of 76. The club shared this on its MIT. After a long illness, he died in a hospital in Wasserburg am Inn.

Lorant took over TSV 1860 Munich in 1992 as a coach in the then third -class Bayernliga and led directly to the Bundesliga. Lorant himself was a professional at Borussia Dortmund, Rot-Weiss Essen, the 1st FC Saarbrücken, Eintracht Frankfurt, FC Schalke 04 and Hannover 96.
