BVB wins Borussen duel and keeps Europe at a glance
In the Bundesliga end sprint, BVB wins after a reserved start and tremors to the end. After the 3: 2 against Mönchengladbach, Dortmund can continue to dream of Europe.
Weak start, strong reaction: Borussia Dortmund has confirmed its demands on a place in the European Cup. In the Borussen duel, the team of coach Niko Kovač prevailed with a competitive 3: 2 (3: 1) against Borussia Mönchengladbach and thus passed the Bundesliga from the Lower Rhine in the Bundesliga.
In front of 81,365 spectators in the sold -out Dortmund stadium, Kou Itakrua (24th minute) initially took care of the guests before Serhou Guirassy (41st), Felix Nmecha (44.) and Daniel Sesssson (45.+5) turned the game within a few minutes. Kevin Stöger (56.) reduced again in the second half by penalty.
For BVB it was the fourth league game in a row without defeat. The Gladbacher, on the other hand, have been waiting for a success for eleven guest performances in Dortmund and have been winless for three league games. Four game days before the end of the season threatens to demolish contact with the top group.
BVB unchanged, Gladbach with five change
Kovač relied on the same starting eleven as five days ago at the Champions League out despite a convincing 3-1 against FC Barcelona. On the other hand, coach Gerardo Seoane made five changes compared to the 1: 2 against SC Freiburg last weekend. Captain Jonas Omlin was back in the goal after surviving injury. In addition, Rocco Reitz, Lukas Ullrich, Kevin Stöger and Tomas Cvancara began for the Franck Honorat, which was missing due to back problems.
The BVB tore the game control early. However, there was a lack of speed and precision in the chance of finding. Karim Adeyemi (19th) gave the best opportunity when his shot flew over the goal. The guests remained compactly compact and lurked on ball losses – with success: In the first dangerous campaign, Ko ItaKura started an undisturbed solo on the middle circle, benefited from a happy double pass with Rami Bensebaini and pushed in.
BVB doubles after deficiency
But the goal looked like a wake -up call for BVB. The hosts shook themselves briefly – and turned the game within three minutes. Initially, Guirassy exploited a cross from Pascal Groß to his 16th seasonor before Nmecha from the edge of the box was served by Yan Couto to 2-1. In added time of the first half, Svensson increased winters, who nodded a rebound from Omlin after a shot from Guirassy to his first Bundesliga.
After the break, Gladbach continued to be more passive, while the BVB cheerfully pushed forward. But a penalty brought the guests back into play. NMECHA had met Tim Kleinketienst in the sixteen. Referee Daniel Siebert first let it play, but then looked at the whole thing and decided on a penalty that Stöger safely converted. The goal gave the foal new courage, but BVB still did not give up. In the heavy rain near lightning and thunder, Dortmund fought the victory over time.
