Bayer Leverkusen shifts master celebration of Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich is about to be the next championship. But because Bayer Leverkusen doesn’t let up, the Munich people still have to wait with celebrations.

The master decision in the Bundesliga is postponed. Table leader FC Bayern fulfilled his homework for an early title celebration through the 3: 0 (2: 0) home win against FSV Mainz 05. But due to the simultaneous 2: 0 (2: 0) success of pursuer Bayer Leverkusen against FC Augsburg, the 34th championship title for the Munich team is not perfect three game days before the end of the season. With a further eight points ahead of Bavaria, Bayern can make the championship clear on its own next weekend.

Eintracht Frankfurt consolidated third place through the 4: 0 (1: 0) success via RB Leipzig, which suffered a sensitive setback in the race for the Champions League qualification. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund is stuck to the Champions League places. The BVB, which has been unbeaten for five league games, won 3-2 (1-0) at TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and climbed sixth. SC Freiburg jumped in fourth place at VfL Wolfsburg through the 1-0 (0: 0), RB Leipzig remains behind it.

Holstein Kiel creates new hope in the relegation battle. The climber won a wild home game against Borussia Mönchengladbach with 4: 3 (2: 0) and gave the red lantern of the bottom of the table at least for one day to VfL Bochum.

Bayern Munich has to replace Harry Kane

After initial difficulties, the greater quality of Bayern in Munich clearly prevailed. Leroy Sané (27th), Michael Olise (40th) and Eric Dier (84th) created a good atmosphere, even if the master party had to be postponed. Another drop of bitterness was the fifth yellow card for striker Harry Kane, who will be closed in the next game in Leipzig in the possible master crowning.

The Leverkuseners made it clear from the start that they wanted to delay the title decision as far as possible. Patrik Schick (13th) and Emiliano Buendia (45.+1) scored the goals for the previous year’s champion.

Eintracht Frankfurt manufactures RB Leipzig

Ansgar Knauff (21st and 53rd minute) scored the first two goals for Frankfurt. Hugo Ekitiké (67th) and Robin Koch (72nd) made the clear victory against Leipzig perfect, the El Chadaille Betshiabu (50th) lost with a red card because of an emergency brake before the second goal.

Dortmund took the lead in Sinsheim through Serhou Guirassy (20th). The BVB scorer failed a little later with a penalty to national goalkeeper Oliver Baumann (34th). After the Hoffenheim compensation by Adam Hlozek (61.), the recently heavily criticized Julian Brandt (74th) brought Dortmund again before Pavel Kaderabek (90.+1) scored to 2: 2. Waldemar Anton (90.+5) provided the BVB win in a turbulent final phase.

Seven goals in Kiel

In Kiel, Shuto Machino (15./90.+1), Alexander Bernhardsson (23rd) and Armin Gigovic (76.) ensured new hope in the relegation battle. Tomas Cvancara (60th), Alassane Pléa (69.) and Franck Honorat (86.) met for the Gladbachers.

In Wolfsburg, the Freiburgers benefited from a more than 60-minute majority. VfL captain Maximilian Arnold saw the red card because of a bad step against Junior Adamu’s ankle and after a video check after 26 minutes. Max Rosenfelder (49th) scored the goal of the day for the SC.
