After extension: Barcelona wins cup final against Real
FC Barcelona dominates the Spanish cup final for a half -time – then Kylian Mbappé comes and with it the turn in favor of Real Madrid. But in the end, Barcelona and Flick triumph.
The former national coach Hansi Flick won the Spanish cup final against Real Madrid with FC Barcelona through a late goal in the extension. The Frenchman Jules Koundé decided the final against the arch -rival in the 116th minute with the goal to 3: 2 (2: 2, 1: 0). After Barcelona’s lead by Pedri (28th minute), Kylian Mbappé (70th) and Aurélien Tchouameni (77th) real in Sevilla Front, Ferran Torres (84.) and took care of the extension.
Flick’s team was superior in the first half and deservedly took the lead. After a back pass from Lamine Yamal, Pedri circulated the ball from almost 20 meters exactly into the goal angle. Afterwards, Real was lucky that Dani Olmos cornerball just passed the rear goal post (44th) and Barcelona did not lead 2-0 at the break.
Mbappé hits very precisely with a free kick
Real coach Carlo Ancelotti switched to the French striker Mbappé, who was recently struck on the ankle. Shortly after the restart, Vinicius Junior had the chance to equalize, but the Brazilian failed twice due to Barcelona’s goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
The pole then had no chance against a free kick from Mbappé, which put the ball from 20 meters on the inner post. Just seven minutes later, Tchouameni headed a corner kick for the real leadership.
Koundé meets, Rüdiger except himself
Barcelona came back, however: after passing from Yamal, Ferran Torres put the ball past the Real goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois running out and pushed into the empty goal. After a duel between Raúl Asencio and Raphinha in the penalty area, there was no penalty and extension after minutes. Koundé finally scored there by a low shot after a bad pass from Luka Modric.
The already replaced German international Antonio Rüdiger saw the red card shortly before the final whistle because he complained too violently over the referee. The real defender could only be held back in front of the bank.
