For a long time it was no longer so easy to escape the second division. Why the HSV still has to worry about the climb.
When things are going well – and it went pretty well for the Hamburg sports club by March – you shouldn’t do four things:
- You should not brand your own team in front of the assembled audience as a to the a tolerable group, which must now be carried through the finish line with joint effort. This is what happened on the 27th matchday of the 2nd Bundesliga before HSV’s home game against SV Elversberg. The stadium spokesman only meant well when he wanted to motivate the followers before kick -off. Accordingly, he said: HSV has always been at the door to promotion in the past six seasons, unfortunately it never took the last step. But now the time has come to carry the team through the door together. In the end it was 0-0 against a village team from Saarland, and the well -meaning people said: In the past seasons, such a game would have been lost through some tölpele. But these stumbling blocks and dropouts in the defense, they have long been parked. The well -being should soon be taught better.
- You shouldn’t start a bound with the man who is owed to the fact that the HSV ended despite the missed, which ended with the outline of head coach Steffen Baumgart and the promotion of assistant coach Merlin Polzin (now 34 years old), it is not as good as in all the years: with striker Davie Selke. At the beginning of the season, this had been fetched as an emergency nail from Cologne, technical term: backup, but after the violation of the actual striker Robert Glatzel, he became a steam locomotive, which the team pulled forward. You would like to have a fighter like Selke, who usually sheds on the first player of the other team immediately after the kick -off, in your own ranks, you don’t want to have it as an opponent. Unfortunately, the club did just that: He could not agree with Selke about a new contract, which led to Selke publicly shed on the club management. After the game against Elversberg, he announced: “I can’t promise anything, we will see how the conversations are going. This is open in both directions – unfortunately.” The “unfortunately” looked like a tackle with an open sole. Hurts. The pitiful trainer Polzin had to pay for this. Against FC Schalke 04 on matchday 30, he only brought Selke in the 82nd minute. The game ended 2-2, although the HSV had played almost the entire length with one man more. The mood of Selke, which some Hamburg fans “football god” called behind, almost without an ironic undertone, should not have gotten better. Unfortunately.
- One should compare a team from many solid soccer artists (Jonas Meffert) a few soccer artists (Jean-Luc Dompé, who almost only knotted 1. FC Nürnberg on the 28th matchday, 3-0 for the HSV), which in 1983 climbed the Cup of the national champions Trikot in the form of a star above the club sign that is immortalized. This can climb to her head, which in turn means that she kicks like not. This is how Eintracht Braunschweig, who had been at risk of relegation, happened on the 29th matchday against the previously acute relegation. The often very creative north curve, the realm of the most loyal and loudest supporters in the Volksparkstadion, unrolled a Titani transparent that showed a kind of football-zeus, including the lettering: “You are intended to higher.” The deep blows immediately followed: the HSV lost for the first time this season in their own stadium, 2: 4, the result of a chain of stumbling blocks and dropouts. The defender Silvan Hefti, who marked the own goal to 0: 2 and who continues to be overwhelmed, earned a special unlucky mention. The lightning of the curve -zus turned the team into the game ashes, and so gray was their football.
- You shouldn’t lie down with the fans who flows into the stadium for all the bad second division years. You should weigh them up in free beer or offer them a better break program than it has so far, the highlight: a poor tölpel should shoot any chunks that look like small ship containers. On the hype, it is fun, as a entertainment for people who have paid for admission, it is not recommended for imitation. Instead, if you come up with the idea of screwing the ticket prices for the last home games of the season in such a way as if the game acted against the even more relegated SSV Ulm (on the penultimate match day on May 10th). The fans now expressed this displeasure on the past matchday, which instead of a Greek god unroll numerous transparent, expressed the authentic folk anger, roughly as: “I want to go to the stadium, nothing to the dispo” and “Your unscrupulous crook”. The game against Karlsruher SC was lost 1-2; The second home defeat in a row had a few defense carvers, for which even the inventor of the defense carver, the former HSV coach Tim Walter, would have been ashamed.
The HSV has the Bundesliga promotion in its own hands
Now the HSV is still on a promotion zone after a horror monitor April (Formerly Known as “Horroronat March”) and yet with its back to the wall. This was less drained by the team itself, but the club, which may have a certain Mister Murphy in his ranks, according to the rule of which (known as Murphy’s Law) everything that can go wrong. The ascent can still succeed. But the problem is: the HSV has it in his own hands.
