“The lion’s cave”
On the role, done, go! The Max fitness fascia trainer in the star check
Another fitness tool? Really now? Two founders fly with Sven Hannawald in “The Lion’s Den” to give their wings their fascia coach. Pickup im star-Check.
A painful herniated disc forced Christian Müller to the fascia role a few years ago. Or better: he was the sticking point that should change his life. Because he did not really make the fascia roles and the popular balls that should mobilize the network -like connective tissue around the back muscles again. The roles remained in position with a lot of effort, and they had slipped on the floor again and again, says Müller. “It has to be better,” said the Allgäuer, working on a solution in which the role maintains its position. The result was a smart pickup system with which Müller and his co-founder Oya Hertfelder now want to mix up the fitness market. As a testimonial, the two fished a legend. Together with ski jumping legend and TV expert Sven Hannawald, they are looking for investors in “The Lion’s Den” cave “who believe in their idea. “Fascia roles are everyday life for competitive athletes,” says Hannawald. But is the product also suitable for mass?
Our enthusiast -loving author has that tried in the days after a half marathon.
Max Fitness pickup fascia trainer: the first impression
Our test package consisted of a pickup starter set, which includes the cylindrical gym roller and a duorol in addition to the bracket made of beech hardwood (dressed in our case in cherry tree), as well as the so-called leanboard. This is a bracket that is mounted on the wall and is to simplify mobilizing the back muscles. In the test, we focused on the heart of the system, the pickup bracket for the floor. The slightly arched board is about 40 centimeters wide and almost 30 centimeters deep. When weighed (without a role), we came to almost 1500 grams. Apart from minimal adhesive on the underside, the tool made in the Allgäu makes a high -quality first impression. The three stainless steel rollers are in a stable plastic construction. The four feet were provided with small rubber plugs so that the device has a firm stand even on smooth floors such as laminate. There are two 30 centimeters long fascia rollers with a diameter of ten centimeters each, which can slide in the recess and can be exchanged at lightning speed.
The test
In the test, our author was mainly interested in the promise of the founders, with pickup, the fascia role would not permanently slip or become self -employed. The fascia trainer keeps it safe on the laminate thanks to the rubber boot. Both roles can be tense up perfectly, with the cylindrical roll mostly required for the exercises on the ground. Classically, a few hours after a long run, we maltreated the tired calves. To do this, you support yourself back on the forearms and put your legs on the role at the level of the Achilles tendons. Now you slowly push the pelvis forward until the roll has reached the back of the knees. This is painful in places – not only for newcomers in the field of fascia rollers. In our test, the fascia trainer was bombable, which made things no less painful, but made a lot more convenient. Even when mobilizing the battered thigh muscles (front), we were able to fully focus on performing the exercise slowly and in a controlled manner. Here you process the fascia from above the knee throat to the groin area. In short: stable performance of the fascia trainer from the Allgäu.
Because it is important to carry out the exercises correctly, the Pickup starter set includes an extensive e-book with valuable tips and practice examples, which should be a mandatory reading, especially for beginners.
The conclusion
The two founders have hit a direct hit with their fascia roll idea. In ski jumping, the judges would probably pull out a 19.5. The tool is stable, almost perfect and high -quality and works exactly as Christian Müller came up with. The fact that you get at least five classic fascia roles from other manufacturers for the price of almost 170 euros could become a problem in the “Löwen cave”. This is for physiotherapy practices or rehabilitation centers In our view, an option. Everyone else who is annoyed by the unruly fascination tools after training must become clear how high their pain limit is.
For an investment of 240,000 euros, Christian and Oya would have 20 percent components jump. On April 28, from 8:15 p.m., you will find out whether the two founders will find a trigger point with the Löwen support.
