Without quarterback Hurts: Trump receives Eagles in the White House
After their triumph in the Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles accepted an invitation from US President Trump. However, the biggest star is missing when visiting the White House.
US President Donald Trump received the Football professionals of the Philadelphia Eagles in the White House. Trump congratulated the team on the triumph in the Super Bowl in early February. However, quarterback Jalen Hurts was not there, the star of the team had not traveled to the capital.
Last week, Hurts had answered with a long silence at a gala of the “Time Magazine” when asked whether he would take part in the visit.
Nevertheless, the president praised the playmaker as a “great guy and great players”. According to unofficial information from the White House, Hurts, like some other players, had given overlaps as the reason for his absence.
The Eagles had won the Super Bowl with a 40:22 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Trump was the first acting president of the United States in the stadium in New Orleans and had supported the chiefs there. During his first term, the Eagles had not visited the White House after winning the Super Bowl for the first time in 2018.
