Ice hockey: Draisaitl reaches second playoff round – supporting fails

Ice hockey star Leon Draisaitl is with the Edmonton Oilers in the second playoff round of the NHL. The German international won the sixth game of the series against Los Angeles Kings 6: 4. The best scorer in the fourth victory of the Oilers was Connor Brown with a goal and two assists, Draisaitl remained in this knockout round without scorer for the first time.

With a total of three goals and seven templates, however, the Cologne native has a huge share in reaching the quarter -finals. There for Edmonton it is now against the Vegas Golden Knights, who enjoy home advantage due to the better balance in the main round.

Draisaitl can hope for a large award

Draisaitl had already been awarded the Hart Trophy as the first German professional five years ago.

Support with bankruptcy

For Tim Stützle, the NHL season is already over after the first round with a bitter home bankruptcy against the Toronto Maple Leaf. The Viersener remained in the 2: 4 of his Ottawa Senators in a good 20 minutes of ice age without a scorer point and could not prevent the fourth defeat.
