After failing to qualify for the final in Big Air, the quartet of Matej Svancer, Daniel Bacher, Lara Wolf and Laura Wallner have a new chance on the slopestyle course. Svancer hopes to find his way back to the “flow” on the demanding course in the Genting Snow Park.
The 17-year-old, who was born in the Czech Republic, was one of the favorites on the huge ramp in the capital. It’s different in slopestyle – at least based on the results: ranks 17 and 14 have looked out in only two World Cup appearances in this discipline in the Stubai. Technical placement objectives are still foreign to Svancer. “My dream is to get down a run that has a flow.” The men’s qualifying starts on Monday night (5.30 a.m.), the women’s start on Sunday night (3 a.m.).
