World Cup 2026
JD Vance threatens football fans: “Should go again, otherwise …”
Football fans will soon also affect the intensified entry policy in the United States. US Vice President JD Vance now finds clear words to visitors to the 2026 World Cup.
For the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico, US President Donald Trump has formed a task force with him at the top and signed a corresponding decree in the presence of FIFA President Gianni Infantino and US Vice President JD Vance.
The unfamiliar: Trump looked at the tournament at the appointment with anticipation and spread a good atmosphere. “We can’t wait to welcome football fans from all over the world,” said the US President. His government is working on the fact that the tournament will run safely and successfully and that fans “have a smooth stay throughout their visit”.
JD Vance, on the other hand, Trump’s vice and deputy chairman of the Taskforce made other tones. “Of course everyone is invited to experience this great event. We want people to come, celebrate and enjoy the games,” said Vance, but threatened shortly after: “If there is time, they should go again – otherwise they have to speak to Minister Noem.”
JD vances statements fit to tighten
By this he means the Minister of Homeland Protection, Kristi Noem, who is known for her tough course in migration policy. She recently took part in raids in New York, in which rejected asylum seekers were arrested. “Such dirty guys will continue to disappear from our streets,” she said on site.
Such statements fit the tightened entry policy in the United States. The Trump government has tightened the rules for many countries, which also affects Germany-and has recently led to a decline in entry. According to the national travel and tourist office, 11.6 percent fewer people traveled to the United States from overseas.
This course apparently wants to continue to follow for the World Cup. And the World Cup (June 11th to July 19, 2026) is not the only big tournament in the near future: This year, the United States is hosting the World Cup (June 14th to July 13th, 2025) in the new and larger format with 32 teams.
