Godoy Cruz rescued a tie with Tigre at the end

Godoy Cruz dominated the initial passages with the attributes with which he finished last season: pressure in the rival’s exit, ambition in the offensive search and collective deployment.

Thus he put together three situations to open the scoring: first Marinelli won a one-on-one against Ortiz, then Ojeda slipped when he was about to define in front of the goalkeeper and finally Bullaude finished off just wide from outside the area.

But little by little Tigre, with similar arguments, balanced the actions. The match became dynamic but with few chances of risk in front of the goals.

Until at minute 36 Menossi executed a corner from the right, Ortiz cleared with a header and over the crescent Blondel took a beautiful and violent left-footed shot, overpunching, that left Espínola without reaction and became 1-0.

It was a disproportionate prize for the Victoria team, beyond the fact that Godoy Cruz, once at a disadvantage, lost the line and seemed disoriented and vulnerable until the end of the stage.

The beginning of the complement had rhythm and situations: Espínola drowned out Blondiel’s second shout, with another shot from outside the area (although now from the right), and Marinelli shone in reply against a frank header from Abrego. Little by little Godoy Cruz was recovering the central role, although the visitor always remained crouched to get out quickly against.

That’s how Ramírez had it (he entered Godoy Cruz well) and so did Protti after a great play by Magnín. Everything, moreover, on a playing field that was made fast by the constant rain.

As the minutes went by, Godoy Cruz lost intensity and efficiency, and Tigre handled the timing of the game correctly, so much so that he seemed headed for victory.

But in the last breath, just after staying with one less due to López’s expulsion and Tigre wasting a good opportunity to settle the lawsuit, the “Tomba” attacked with self-esteem and rescued a point with a Ferrari goal.

On the next date, Godoy Cruz will visit Colón de Santa Fe (Thursday from 5 pm) and Tigre will receive Central Córdoba from Santiago del Estero (Wednesday also from 5 pm).
