Müller -Vschied with Pointe and Kakadu – “will work forever”

A quarter of a century of Bavarian football history is coming to an end. Thomas Müller cheered again with the championship shell and says after beer showers Servus. With wit, but without Wirtz.

Thomas Müller still had one. Dripping wet for beer showers and with an ultra-scarf around the neck, the Bayern legend did not cause tears during the farewell words, but in typical Müller manner. With a joke and a pinch of black humor, the 35-year-old said to the Munich fans after his last emotional home game in the favorite stadium Servus. Müller looks back on a Bavarian picture book career.

Party to late at night

“I loved being the modern gladiator, of course the show a bit. But I’m also looking forward to what is coming. Even if it can’t be half as beautiful as what was,” said Müller. “Now it is celebrated. I love you all.” The party ended deep in the night in the old stock exchange in downtown Munich.

Again and again Müller threw kissing hands in the air on this memorable evening, on which Bayern celebrated their cult kicker and silent about wish player Florian Wirtz. Mama Klaudia pulled out the smartphone alongside Papa Gerhard to capture the moving moment.

Wife Lisa was neither seen in the stadium nor at the later party. In contrast to an enigmatic Meister-Kakadu, which coach Vincent Kompany puts on the podium.

“Thomas will be missing in the cabin and club”

At the many beer showers in front of the big lawn party of the stars with their families, the focus was on everything winner Müller. The Club-Granden Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge came up with a beer after the 2-0 against Borussia Mönchengladbach on the grandstand, while captain Manuel Neuer was the first to shower with wheat beer on the area.

“We will all miss him very much,” said Neuer about his 2014 world champion colleague. “Thomas will be missing in the cabin and the club.”

Distracted by all celebrations and emotions, Joshua Kimmich had to have the Müller-Witz from a man whose woman on her favorite cake on her deathbed told his father again. Such a departure and this humor “absolutely” fits your colleague, said Kimmich. “Of course, he will be very missing as a player, but also as a guy, as a person.” Kompany said “enthusiastically” about Müller’s importance for FC Bayern: “That will work forever.”

The 750th competitive game of Müller for FC Bayern was his last home game. The Bundesliga career ends next weekend when the star ensemble for the next celebration goes to the town hall balcony. After a quarter of a century of Bavarian football history, Müller’s Munich era is finally over in the USA after the club World Cup from June 14 to July 13. Perhaps with a very last title with which Müller would overtake the ex-teammate Toni Kroos as the most successful trophy collector.

And then? “I don’t think he stops. I think he will still play and then he may get to know the world,” said sports director Max Eberl. “And then at some point he may be here and will say: Okay, now I would be there.”

Müller could take over “almost all roles” at FC Bayern, said the sports director Eberl, who came to the stadium, in a good mood. “He can become a sports director, he can become a sports director. Thomas Müller is an icon at FC Bayern and if he wants to and can take this path at some point, then you will see what interests him.”

Hard Wirtz poker is bought

Müller is definitely interested in the fact that his heart club remains top class. “I appeal to everyone who has been here in the next few years: tear your ass open, that’s something bigger than you can imagine,” Müller formulated his legacy to other Bavaria generations around Jamal Musiala.

Is the Leverkusen super soccer player Wirtz among this team? Supposedly, the 22 -year -old does not want to switch to Manchester City, Real Madrid or anywhere else – but only to Munich. A hard transfer poker is paving. There is talk of gaping ideas of 100 million (Bavaria) and 150 million euros (Leverkusen).

Eberl evoked questions about an alleged agreement with Wirtz. “But I don’t want to answer that with yes or no, because the master celebration and the fun are currently in the foreground for me and not the 25/26 season,” said the 51-year-old. However, the squad wanted to “change a bit,” said Eberl, “then to attack all three titles.”

Kane kisses the bowl – the woman prefers to keep your distance

This is also the big goal of Harry Kane, who besides Michael Olise as a scorer for the victorious framework in honor of the Müller praised by him as a “legend”. After an endless waiting time, he kissed his first trophy in the red-white-gold confetti.

“It was a load on the shoulders and it is nice that it is now gone,” said England’s national team captain, who was amazed at the beer shower despite preparation. “It was colder when I thought I was frozen when I was wet. My wife stayed away from me afterwards because it smelled like beer.”

The Meister-Kakadu also got a few beer splashes. The porcelain figure that the Bayern stars took from the Nobel restaurant Käfer at the title party a week ago was the surprising eye-catcher on the master podium.

“The story comes out at some point,” said Kompany about the figure, which caused a mischievous grin among all protagonists. Perhaps the secret will be ventilated next Sunday at the balcony party at Marienplatz.
