Before the Bundesliga season 2024/25, the star seven theses. With some we were in the right place, completely wrong with others. A conclusion for all claims.
The Bundesliga season is over and FC Bayern Munich won the German championship for the 34th time. Leverkusen could not repeat the success of the last season in the league or in the DFB Cup. Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund will play Champions League next season. After a catastrophic first half of the season, BVB was still a spectacular catch -up.
RB Leipzig completed the worst Bundesliga season in the still young club history, but Freiburg, on the other hand, was surprisingly qualified for the Europa League after the end of the string era. The Breisgauer just missed the Champions League on the last matchday. Mainz 05 also grew beyond himself and will play Conference League in the next season.

Mission defending the title fails: Leverkusen’s championship remains a mayfly
28 victories, six draws and not a single defeat-that was Bavarian Leverkusen’s balance at the end of the last Bundesliga season. Under coach Xabi Alonso, the “Werkelf” achieved historical with the first championship in club history. Previously, no German team had survived an entire series unbeaten. In addition, the Leverkuseners won the DFB Cup, which was perfect with the double. The truth of the almost flawless Bundesliga season also includes that Alonso’s team often pulled his head out of the loop late. Bayer scored 23 competitive goals after the 86th minute, 14 of them only in injury time. Happiness is now exhausted. Although not much has changed on the squad, Leverkusen is not mastered this year.

No surprises in midfield
Werder Bremen missed the international business and landed in 8th place behind Leipzig. VfB Stuttgart was unable to repeat the vice championship from the pre -season and completed the season as ninth. There were no surprises in the table midfield: Places 10 to 13 go to Gladbach, Wolfsburg, Augsburg, Union Berlin.
Rising St. Pauli saved himself to 14th place and will also compete in the Bundesliga in the coming season. TSG Hoffenheim ended up in 15th place. Heidenheim plays as a sixteenth in the relegation against Elversberg, Kiel and Bochum, as a direct relegation.
The one has some of it star correctly predicted. With other theses, however, we were next to it.
