The Israeli national football player Gadi Kinda died at the age of 31. The football association of Israel announced the death of the midfielder. “Israeli football has not only lost a talented player, but also a loved one and valued people,” said a mail from the association at X.
Israeli media reported that Kinda suffered from a serious illness. The news page “Ynet” reported that he was last treated in a hospital. Which disease he suffered was not known. Kinda was married and had two daughters, it said in the “Ynet” report.
Kinda was born in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa as the son of Jewish parents. As a child, he moved to Israel with his family. He played at FC Aschdod and Beitar Jerusalem, switched to Sporting Kansas City in the USA and was most recently under contract with Maccabi Haifa. He completed ten missions for Israel’s national team.
