Tottenham Hotspur has laid his loser image with the first title in 17 years and still cracked the jackpot after a disappointing season. The London football club won the Europa League with a 1-0 (1-0) after a defense battle in the English final against Manchester United and, despite 17th place in the league, also loosened the ticket for the next Champions League. This rinses more than 100 million euros into the club’s coffers.

Brennan Johnson (42nd minute) made it to the San Mamés in front of 50,000 spectators with his goal for the victory of the Spurs, who last won a title in 2008 by winning the relatively insignificant league cup. At the European level, Bayern scorer Harry Kane ex-club even had to wait 41 years for a trophy. In 1984 Tottenham won the UEFA Cup, the predecessor competition of the Europa League.

Manchester not in European Cup for the first time in eleven years

For MAN United, on the other hand, the fiasco is perfect. The proud English record champion, as 16th in the Premier League, only slightly better, will not be represented internationally for the first time in the coming season.
