ARD and ZDF go away empty -handed – sub -licenses possible
All games should be shown for customers of the telecommunications company. It remained open at first where the games of the German national team will be freely seen in the event of qualification for the tournament. However, the Broadcasting Treaty ensures that you must be received free of charge. In theory, Telekom could offer the games of the DFB selection even on free TV.
ARD and ZDF, who showed the games of the German national team in the previous World Cup tournaments, are empty. However, it is possible that the two public broadcasters acquire sub-licenses from Telekom. There was a corresponding agreement for the EM 2024.
