Switzerland ends Denmark’s ice hockey fairy tale
Denmark succeeds in the semi -finals against Switzerland at the Ice Hockey Championship no further surprise – on the contrary. It will be the first real World Cup final for the Swiss final opponent.
Switzerland has ended the Danish ice hockey fairy tale at the World Cup. The surprise team clearly lost in Stockholm against the Vice World Champion with 0: 7 (0: 3, 0: 1, 0: 3). The Swiss continue to hope for the first World Cup title. The final opponent on Sunday (8:20 p.m./ProSieben and Magentasport) is the USA. The Americans clearly defeated Sweden 6: 2 (2: 0, 2: 0, 2: 2). Sweden plays against Denmark in the game for third place (3:20 p.m./ProSieben and Magenta Sport).
After the coup in the last group game against the German team and the sensation against Canada in the quarter-finals, the Danes had no chance in their first semi-final participation against Switzerland. NHL professional Nino Niederreiter (10th minute/18th) and Ken Jäger (13th) were already successful in the first third. Denis Malgin (38.), Sandro Schmidt (45th), Damien Riat (53.) and Tyler Moy (54.) further increased against overwhelmed Danes.
USA writes ice hockey story
