USA writes ice hockey story

For the Americans, it will be the first real World Cup final on Sunday. In the two successes in 1933 and 1960, they prevailed in a final round. In 1960 the Olympic tournament in Squaw Valley was also considered a World Cup.

Against Sweden, the Americans led 4: 0 after 40 minutes in front of 12,530 fans. A quick double strike by William Nylander (46th) and Elias Lindholm (47th) only briefly caused excitement. Jackson Lacombe (52nd) and Shane Pinto (56th) made the United States’ final.
