Draisaitls Oilers take course at Stanley Cup final
The Edmonton Oilers celebrate a confident home win against the Dallas Stars in the semi-finals of the NHL playoffs. The final is getting closer to the German superstar Leon Draisaitl.
The Edmonton Oilers around ice hockey superstar Leon Draisaitl took a big step towards Stanley Cup in the NHL. The team from Canada won the third game against the Dallas Stars in the final of the Western Conference 6: 1 (2: 0, 1: 1, 3: 0) and took the lead for the first time in the series in Best-of-Seven mode.
Edmonton had lost the opening game in Dallas 3: 6 and then compensated for a 3-0 away success in the second encounter. Draisaitl prepared the 6-1 final score with his 15th assist in the playoffs. The Canadian superstar Connor McDavid, like Zach Hyman, hit twice. The game took place at the same time as the World Cup final between the USA and Switzerland in Stockholm in Sweden.
Revanche against the Panthers?
Last year, the Oilers around the key players Draisaitl and McDavid reached the final around the Stanley Cup. Against the Florida Panthers, Edmonton caught up a 0-3 deficit and equalized to 3: 3. The seventh and decisive game was then lost 1-2.
In their semi-final series against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Panthers clearly lead 3-0 and are about to join the final. Then there could be a revenge on the greatest possible stage.
