Ex-Dortmund Tomas Rosicky was in the intensive care unit with heart problems
Ferred for the Czech football icon Tomas Rosicky: The former Bundesliga professional had to be brought to the intensive care unit-and now wants to step down.
The former Czech national soccer team captain Tomas Rosicky has to deal with serious health problems. The current sports director of Sparta Prague was suddenly brought to the intensive care unit of a hospital almost a week ago, the first division club said. Problems with the heart were determined, but no surgery was necessary. The 44 -year -old former Bundesliga professional from Borussia Dortmund had already been released home.
Rosicky is initially represented by Tomas Sivok. He himself said he was used to both as a player and as a sports director to do everything with full commitment. He worked one hundred percent without looking left or right. “The current situation showed me that I have to take care of myself more,” said Rosicky, previously praised as a midfield Mozart. A bad lifestyle and lack of movement had taken him to the hospital.

Speculation about replacement of Tomas Rosicky
After the recent replacement of the Danish trainer Lars Friis at Sparta Prague, it was also speculated over an end to Rosicky as sports director. The board, however, had been publicly behind him. Rosicky has been on the post since the end of 2018.
From 2001 to 2006 the ex-professional played at Borussia Dortmund and then until 2016 at Arsenal in London. After moving to Sparta, he ended his player career in 2017.
