Referee announcements will probably be announced in all football stadiums in the future
The test phase was successful – now referees should be able to explain controversial decisions in all stages of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. This has consequences for the new season.
According to a video evidence, referee announcements will be available in the coming season in all stages of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. This was confirmed by a spokesman for the German Football League (DFL).
First the “Sport Bild” reported about it. The DFL Commission Football gave a corresponding unanimous recommendation to the Presidium of the umbrella organization of the 36 professional clubs. The approval of the management committee is very likely.

In January, the DFL tested the pilot project in nine stadiums of the 1st and 2nd league, in coordination with Schiri GmbH of the German Football Association (DFB). By announcing their decisions in certain situations on the field via stadium speakers, the referees should be more transparent.
Including DFB Cup, the referees stadium announcements, the process and the technology worked according to an interim balance.
