The shirts were put up for sale on Monday morning with prices ranging between 150 and 500 euros, for disappointment of the French Tennis Federation (FFT).
“That some people take the opportunity to make money with the ‘Merci Rafa’ shirt, it seems a bit deplorable, but in the end we were not going to withdraw the shirt,” FFT president Gilles Moretton told the press.
“We did something unique and with the singularity sometimes comes this type of drift. I saw prices that scared me.”
