Liverpool negotiation: Wirtz denies a number of shelter
Florian Wirtz comments on his possibly future club FC Liverpool. Better said: he makes a little clear.
Florian Wirtz commented in the middle of the poker for a contract at Liverpool FC via Instagram and clarified something. “Anyone who says I want the 10,” wrote the 22-year-old German soccer player in a story and meant the number 10. “I respect players,” added Wirtz. He also wrote: “Don’t believe everything that is written.” The end of the article was adorned with a clown face emoji.
The broadcaster Sky had previously reported that the conversations with the English champions were also concerned that Wirtz had expressed the wish to wear number 10 if possible. However, the Argentine world champion Alexis Mac Allister has.
Club icon Owen had the 10 in Liverpool
The 26 -year -old midfielder has been playing for the Reds since the summer of 2023, and his contract should be valid until June 30, 2028. The 10 has always been of particular importance in football. At Liverpool, players like Club icon Michael Owen or Sadio Mané had the 10.
So far, Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen have not been able to agree. According to a “kicker” report, the Bundesliga club, in which Wirtz still has a contract until the end of June 2027, also rejected the second offer. It is said to have been a fixed amount of 118 million euros plus 12 million euros in bonus payments. In the first round of negotiations, Liverpool, according to the report, offered 100 million euros plus 15 million euros in additional payments.
According to “Kicker”, the Bayer bosses even hope for more than the 150 million euros, which managing directors Fernando Carro had publicly mentioned in the previous year as a minimum amount.
Wirtz will play in Munich this evening with the national team in the semi -finals of the Nations League against Portugal. In the DFB selection, it bears number 17.
