Thunderstorm with hail: DFB game against Portugal begins later
The semi-finals of the German national soccer team in the Nations League are affected by a thunderstorm. The kick -off in Munich is somewhat delayed.
The Nation’s League semi-final of the German national soccer team against Portugal begins at 9.10 p.m. due to a storm and thus ten minutes later than planned. This was announced in the Munich Allianz Arena by announcement to the audience.
The goalkeepers of the German national football team had previously interrupted their warm-up for the semi-finals of the Nations League against Portugal for a few minutes after a short flying visit. The keeper around Marc-André Ter Stegen fled with large hailstormers in front of the thunderstorm, but then returned.
The teams also started warming up at around 8.30 p.m. – half an hour before the planned kick -off.

Despite the warning of severe storms in southern Germany, the Nation League game should take place. The European Football Union UEFA announced that it was watching the meteorological situation together with the authorities. The audience in the Allianz Arena was recommended to bring rain ponchos or jackets.
In Bavaria, severe thunderstorms were forecast with hail, gusts of wind, and heavy rain for Wednesday. According to the German Weather Service (DWD), these should be used in the afternoon, at least in Munich it wasn’t that bad.
