Boateng shares against DFB team-because of buddy Rüdiger

The controversial ex-national player Jérôme Boateng is stuck on social media against the DFB team. The reason for this is apparently the debate about defense chief Antonio Rüdiger.

That’s it with the winning of the “Mini World Cup”. Germany left Portugal in the semi -finals of the Nations League (final score 1: 2) and can still comfort itself with third place. The defense of the DFB team did not make a good figure in the bankruptcy against the team around superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Jonathan Tah, Robin Koch and Waldemar Anton allowed too many mistakes.

Defense chief Antonio Rüdiger was missing due to injury. The 32-year-old had contracted a partial tear of the outer meniscus in the left knee. In addition, he was criticized against FC Barcelona because of his freak out in the “El Clásico”. After his substitution, Rüdiger had insulted the referee from the bank of Wüst, thrown an object on the field and saw red. Some experts and fans find a DFB vice captain unworthy.

Boateng jumps to the side of Rüdiger

The former German international and Rüdiger buddy Jérôme Boateng apparently sees it quite differently. The 36-year-old currently spends his career evening at the Austrian club Lask Linz. Boateng took the bankruptcy of the DFB team against Portugal as an opportunity to speak. He posted a story with a black background on Instagram and wrote: “Without Rüdiger @toniruediger. Better or?”. He provided the short text with mocking emojis: a smiley with a finger in front of his mouth and a clown face.

Boateng probably wants to illustrate the critics of his buddy: without Rüdiger it doesn’t run in the national team.

DFB coach Nagelsmann clearly expresses himself

Nobody doubted the skills of the head of defense. National coach Julian Nagelsmann recently emphasized: It is “important that people also make people make mistakes. And if they apologize, then it must also be ticked off at some point.”

Opinion
Rüdiger’s freaking out could cost the DFB its credibility

At the same time, he did not take the offense of his vice captain lightly: “The limit has been reached. And he also knows that it can no longer happen. Otherwise it simply has larger consequences.”

For Boateng this was apparently too much criticism. He clearly positions himself on Rüdiger’s side. Boateng has made headlines in recent years by allegations for assault against his ex-girlfriend. The football professional was therefore sentenced to a fine.
