The Argentine pilot Franco Colapint He assured that he did not have a good training day with Alpine in it Grand Prix of Spain of the Formula 1 Because “he did not find the rhythm” and it cost him “to explain the loss.”

After facing a family track that, despite providing opportunities to reach the limit, did not allow adequately connecting with the car, the Argentine ended far from the tip and distanced from his partner Pierre Gaslywho was among the best times of the day.

In two difficult sessions, in which Colapinto ended last in both lapses, the pilot expressed his confusion and frustration when analyzing the technical information that evidenced important deficiencies in his performance.

“It was complicated, I did not find the rhythm. The car was very disconnected from the front and back, and the hard rubber worsened the situation. It was a very hard day, trying to understand the data and locate where it wasted time. Physically, there are sections in which it is impossible to recover the lost time. I am analyzing all the data to make it stronger tomorrow”said the pilot in dialogue with ESPN after the trials, where he emphasized the difficulty of explaining the loss, which resulted in almost a second slower with respect to Gasly and far from the leader, Oscar Piastri.

Colapinto stressed that, despite some technical differences between Alpine’s cars, its performance was affected by the lack of connection with the machine: “Pierre has a renewed background and certain adjustments, but nothing that justifies such a wide gap. It is crucial to check the data, find solutions and bring answers for tomorrow. I did not feel comfortable today; it was a complicated day in which I could not define clearly my loss,”.

The day, expected with better expectations after their performances in Emilia-Romagna and Monaco, highlighted the difficulties inherent in motor sport.

The pilot anxiously expects that the adjustments made by his technical team are reflected in substantial improvements during the next day.

Colapinto states that each track experience is an opportunity to learn and perfect their performance, and that tomorrow he will seek to reverse the situation to aspire to fight for the tip of the score in future sessions.
