The grandstand of the Dietach Arena in a black and green flag sea, spraying sparks in the handover of the master plate and a worthy supporting program with music band, beverage Happy-Hour, DJs and an ice cream camp: The Union Dietach also sweetened the celebrations after the last home game against Bad Leonfelden with a 1-0 win. After that, the covers finally fell: Stefan Reiter, group chairman of the highest amateur league in the state, handed over the master medals with great cheers. The title party will go into extra time even after the season: some players take off to Spain, and will also let the championship plate to live again in Mallorca.
Video: “Home game” at Dietach’s master celebration:
You can look back on a top season: the best home and away team, strongest defensive and always at the top from the sixth round- but why Dietach ultimately prevailed so clearly, there is one reason for President Christian Prechtl: “It is the incredible cohesion in the team and in the club that made it possible.” His team had a negative experience at the beginning of the spring season: the injury-related failure of top player Denis Berisha. “Now even more so – that was the motto of our strong -willed team,” says Prechtl.
Trainer before extension
Like captain Mario Reiter and the majority of the master team, Berisha will be extended and will be on the ball in the regional league Mitte in autumn. Others do not go along: In addition to defense chief Alberto Prada, who ends his career in the summer and returns to his Spanish homeland, Elvir Hasic (to Edelweiß Linz) and Max Richter also leave the club. The signature of master coach Daniel Ruttensteiner is still missing under a new contract for the coming season. However, it should only be a matter of form, according to the OÖN information, the extension should be announced soon.
