Club World Cup
FC Bayern takes away amateur team from New Zealand
Loose entry into the club World Cup for FC Bayern. The German record champion did not allow a blatant outsider from New Zealand and even won in double digits.
In the midday heat of Cincinnati, the highly paid football professionals of FC Bayern celebrated the expected peat festival against the hopelessly overwhelmed hobby kickers from Auckland. The seriously played 10: 0 (6-0) with the shiny Jamal Musiala, shiny with three joker goals, revealed at least one five-class difference between the two teams.
It was nothing more than a loose warm-up for the German football record champion who wants to play for the title at the first club World Cup in the new XXL format with 32 teams. It is already clear that in addition to Bavaria, only the Boca Juniors from Argentina and Portugal’s record champions Benfica Lisbon are eligible for the first two places in Group C.
The Munich professionals in the small TQL stage were most sweating in front of 21,152 spectators at the many goal celebrations. Already at the break, half the dozen after the goals of Kingsley Coman (6th/21st minute), Sacha Boey (18th), Michael Olise (20./45.+3) and the Bayern legend Thomas Müller (44.) celebrated by the audience was full.
Hatt trick from Jamal Musiala at the comeback
After the break, the Munich team took their foot from the accelerator pedal a little. Vincent Kompany changed several times. Jamal Musiala also came. And the magician immediately hit his comeback after a muscle injury with a Schlenzer (68th), from the penalty point (73.) and then in the penalty area for hat trick (84th). Müller then made it double -digit (89th).
At the back, Musiala also prevented the possible honorary gate of Auckland when he successfully blocked David Yoo (69.). Leroy Sané stayed on the bench after his perfectly made switch to Galatasaray Istanbul.
FC Bayern now meets Boca Juniors
After the final whistle, the Bayern-Tross was in a hurry. The charter plane back to the basic camp in Disneyland in Orlando was waiting at Cincinnati Airport. The next preliminary round is the Boca Juniors on Friday evening (local time) in Miami. Then it will no longer be just about the amount of the result, like against the record winner of the Champions League in Oceania.
Bayern coach Kompany was pleased with a black cap as sun protection on the edge of the field that his players immediately turned seriously. In the press conference the evening before, he had reminded the meager 1-0 of Harry Kanes English against football dwarf in the World Cup qualification.
“We play against a team that will try to stand very compact and use a moment,” said Kompany. One thing was aware: “We won’t get much praise if we win. But we want to take the game very serious and do our job.”
Coman first tournament scorer
This was done by Müller and Co. against the brave amateur footballers of the strong Rubgy-Nation New Zealand. Above all, the foreign strikers Coman and Olise hit their hooks on the lawn to their heart’s content and delighted the audience. New signing Jonathan Tah, who was able to give the defensive chief of defense, which was not required, earned the first assist in the 1-0 by Coman. The Frenchman was the first goal scorer of the tournament two days after his 29th birthday.
The almost unimaginated captain Manuel Neuer was able to treat himself to sunbathing in his goal for over 90 minutes. After the break, not only young talent Lennart Karl (17) was used. After an hour, Kompany also switched Musiala and Dayot Upamecano, who are supposed to take important roles after longer injuries in the course of the tournament.
Because Kompany divided the tournament into two phases. “You have to win the first tournament first, that’s the group. And then the second tournament starts.” In the KO phase it goes against the big ones like Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid or maybe Borussia Dortmund.
