Olympic participant Julia Mayer was the outstanding appearance in the 7th edition of the Traunsee half marathon. The 32-year-old from DSG Vienna hung all men on the way to the women’s course record in 1:13:52 hours. Christian Slawiczek (TSV St. Geor-gen/Gusen) was five seconds behind. Thanks to her glossy performance (“I’m happy”), Mayer fulfilled the norm for the World Cup marathon in Tokyo. Almost 3900 active people from 44 nations ran from Ebensee to Gmunden to the sunset at 7.08 p.m.
