New presentation: Lamborghini Revuelto 2024: Simply enormous

They just can not stop it. While everyone is switching to electric versions of super sports cars, Lamborghini is taking a completely different approach with the successor to the Aventador. Although there is high current on board the Revuelto for the first time, a V12 naturally aspirated engine still does the main driving work.

Stephan Winkelmann and the Lamborghini management know their own customers very well – often even personally. “The new Revuelto is a milestone in the history of Lamborghini and an important pillar in our electrification strategy,” emphasizes Stephan Winkelmann, CEO of Lamborghini, “The V12 is an iconic symbol of our supersport heritage and history. The Revuelto was born, to break new ground by combining a new 12-cylinder engine with hybrid technology, creating the perfect balance between the emotion our customers want and the need to reduce emissions.”

In order to be able to stand up to the powerful competition with their electric hyper athletes with up to 2,000 hp, a number was set: the engine output of the Aventador successor had to be at least above 1,000 hp and so the V12 vacuum cleaners together with electric support offer an impressive 746 kW / 1,015 HP and 725 Nm. Thanks to the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel power, the Lamborghini Revuelto accelerates from a standing start to 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds, and after just seven seconds the 200 mark flies past before the thirst for action beyond 350 km/h is stopped. The maximum speed of the dozen cylinder with the internal designation L545: shameless 9,500 revs.

The design of the new Revuelto, again dressed in carbon, is as martial as one would expect from a Lamborghini supercar. Gigantic air inlets, piercing LED eyes and a wide brake light, which subtly illuminates the V12 engine to the rear when decelerating, ensure the usual grand appearance. Inside there are sport seats with leather or Dinamica polyfiber and an informative 12.3-inch display for the driver. In addition, the center console offers an 8.4-inch touchscreen for comfort functions and, based on the Ferrari model, the front passenger also gets the most important information on their own additional display for the first time. Practical and cool at the same time: information can be moved from one display to the next with a swipe of your finger. Even more practical: the alarm system is connected to the immobilizer and networked navigation system, so that the owner always knows exactly where his car is and who is driving it.

While the 218-kilogram, 6.5-liter V12 suction engine with its 606 kW / 825 hp thunders behind the driver’s cab, two 110 kW / 150 hp electric motors, each weighing only 18.5 kg, hum on the front axle and generate an additional 350 Nm provide torque. The third electric motor, also with 110 kW / 150 hp / 150 Nm, is installed in the housing of the dual-clutch transmission, which weighs around 185 kilograms and, like the two electric engines on the front axle, is powered by a small 3.8 kWh battery housed in the cardan tunnel became. The battery pack is charged either in 30 minutes at the charging station, via regenerative braking or via the V12 naturally aspirated engine. Assuming that the total of 13 different driving programs will overwhelm most pilots when choosing their options. This is new: the Revuelto is driven purely electrically via the front axle alone. The performance spectrum lies between a manageable 180 hp in front-wheel drive city mode and 1,015 hp in all-wheel drive Corsa mode.

“With the Revuelto, we are taking the experience of driving a Lamborghini to a higher level,” said Rouven Mohr, Lamborghini Chief Technical Officer, “Revuelto is taking a significant step forward in terms of reactivity and response to deliver the most emotional and to ensure natural driving in any environment. Revuelto is a car with the highest performance, but our goal from the start was to confirm it at the peak of driving emotions.” not only sophisticated aerodynamics, but also wheelsets that leave nothing to be desired in terms of driving dynamics. The Lamborghini fan can choose whether to mount 265/35 ZRF 20 or 265/30 ZRF 21 at the front and 345/30 ZRF21 or 355/25 ZRF22 at the rear – both with run-flat technology, which allows you to drive up to 80 kilometers even with defective tires The weight distribution of the new road racing car from Santa Agata d’Bolognese is 44:56 in favor of the rear axle.
