In 2021, when we began our path as an independent company with the Iveco Group, we set out to continue working on the consolidation of local production, the nationalization of vehicles and parts; and also, in the development of sustainable solutions to reduce the environmental impact of our vehicles.
Taking advantage of more than 25 years of research and development and without losing sight of quality, technology and the latest advances worldwide, this year we managed to further promote the manufacture of vehicles powered by clean energy – with the first CNG BUS produced in Argentina -, and improve our production processes through the implementation of a circular economy model.
The end of 2023 finds us positioning ourselves for the thirteenth consecutive year as leaders in vehicles over 16 tons, even reaching historic levels for the brand. We are convinced that, in part, this is due to the company’s commitment to local manufacturing and the expansion of the production line in Córdoba with models that are feeding the domestic market. We are one of the main manufacturers of heavy trucks in the country and that is why, regardless of the market situation and various particularities of the economic and political context, this provides us with a very interesting strategic advantage.
Looking at the market in 2024, we have positive expectations; mainly from the strong recovery expected from the second semester in agriculture, mining and the oil & gas sector. It is also an important year, because IVECO will be celebrating 55 years in Argentina and that challenges us to redouble our efforts and continue working on the development of new products that accompany the evolution of our customers.
We reaffirm our commitment to accompany fundamental sectors for the development and growth of the country such as general cargo, agriculture; the oil; mining; construction and retail, and we are committed to continuing to expand our product portfolio without losing focus on the need for these vehicles to be sustainable and friendly to the planet.
