On the move like Batman
Real Batmobile goes into small series – and costs 3 million dollars

It’s probably the most expensive Batman merchandise you can imagine: Warner Bros. has ten true-to-original tumblers produced – and with them a ready-to-drive Batmobile.
Warner Bros. sells extremely expensive licensed merch under the Wayne Enterprises brand. There you can find Batman watches for $115,000, Joker sculptures for $5,580, wines with four to five-figure prices and designer seating for $58,000. In short: everything that rich people like the fictional billionaire Bruce Wayne apparently desire.
But if you really want to feel like Batman, you don’t need the typical accessories of the super-rich, but also the superhero equipment. And Wayne Enterprises now has something to offer: .
Like a real Batman vehicle – only without weapons
Perhaps the most brutal vehicle available to Batman in the films is the Tumbler. This is a type of off-road tank that is equipped with numerous weapon systems and can even detach a motorcycle (Batpod) in an emergency. In the films, the vehicle relies on a turbine for fast propulsion.
Up to 26 million euros for a vehicle: these are some of the most expensive new cars in the world
However, the real Batmobile has to do without many of the features mentioned. There are no real weapons or a turbine, and the front wheels cannot form into a motorcycle. A lot of it is simply a dummy.
But probably the most important unique selling point remains in the replica: the look. There shouldn’t be a lack of sound and power either. Although the fake turbine in the rear remains cold, a Chevy V8 engine with a displacement of 6.2 liters and an output of 525 hp should still provide plenty of propulsion. The company is silent about the exact performance data, such as top speed or acceleration.
Admission unlikely
To secure one of the vehicles, you must register your interest with Wayne Enterprises. When all vehicles have been allocated, final negotiations about the production location take place. Once everything is in place, production begins, which the company estimates will take 15 months.
It cannot be assumed that the vehicle comes with the necessary documents for registration – if it is even possible to drive this vehicle on the road in this country. A special permit would be needed simply because of the enormous width of over 2.80 meters. It therefore remains to be seen whether they will actually manage to sell ten vehicles at $3 million each that will not be able to be used on most roads in the world.
