For some people, a driving license is simply part of coming of age. The work for the “rag” often begins at the age of 16. The practical test for a driving license from the age of 17 can be taken one month before the 17th birthday. Then nothing stands in the way of great freedom.
Driver’s license under criticism
Driving licenses are currently making a lot of negative headlines. The failure rates are getting higher and the costs are rising – the “rag” is becoming a luxury. In addition, there are long waiting times for exams in some places.
How quickly you get your driver’s license doesn’t just depend on the learner driver themselves. But passing the tests has always been considered the best way to get through your driving training as quickly as possible.
The first hurdle in obtaining a driving license is the theoretical driving test. If you acquire your car driving license (Class B) for the first time, you have to ask yourself 30 questions under very strict observation, divided into basic and additional material. The latter contains class-specific questions.
Enormous failure rates among learner drivers
If you get your car driving license without a previous driving license, you can collect a total of ten demerit points in the theory test. If there is one too many, the test must be repeated. Exception: If the error points earned consist of two questions with five points each, the exam is also considered failed.
The exam can be repeated after two weeks at the earliest. You can repeat the exam as often as you like; there is no blocking period after a certain number of failed exams.
In the quiz, use current questions from the Dekra catalog to test how error-free you can get through the questions. The 15 selection questions are a reduced exam. But be careful: A large number of the questions have similarities or contain subtle pitfalls that often only become apparent after reading them several times. In addition, for some questions it is possible to give multiple answers.
If it doesn’t work – no problem. You are not alone. The failure rate in Germany is currently 49 percent.
