Car meeting of the super rich: hypercar rally in the Tuscany

Here in the green hills around Montepulciano, between vineyards and dreamy towns, a rally with hypercars took place on two days – vehicles with the absolute maximum of technology, performance and exclusivity. Prerequisite for participation: Each car had to have a top speed of 350 km/h or more. It was not exhausted on the curvy country roads, but the sight and the sound of the power packs alone made the hearts beat faster.

Wherever the column appeared, onlookers flowed up to admire the power packs up close. After all, you rarely get to see such cars and certainly not in this variety, such as the blue, iconic, Ferrari Testarossa Koenig Evolutions – a tuned version with 1000 hp from 1987, followed by a Porsche 918 Spider from 2016 and a new green Pagani Utopia.

Also included: a Bugatti Chiron Super Sport from 2021, which at 440 km/h is also one of the fastest, street -friendly vehicles in the world. At the wheel, Bruno Spengler, freshly appointed test driver, beamed at the French luxury car manufacturer.

Guglielmo Miani, the organizer of this exclusive rally, came with his majestic, black Koenigsegg CCX. “I haven’t driven them for a long time,” he says. In addition to the annual “Fuoriconcorso”, the well-known auto event on Lake Como, which always takes place at the same time as the “Concorso d’Elanza Villa d’Este”, he also organizes such small, exclusive events.

This time he decided on the area around Montepulciano – and for a route that not only promised speed frenzy, but also focused on the charm of the Tuscany. She led through winding panoramic streets to well -known wineries and the best restaurants in the area. Nobody bothered that it was raining in between and the expensive vehicles were full of mud. “With hypercars you can also participate in such adventures,” said one of the participating car owners, “these vehicles are there to have fun …”
