Study: A quarter of employees are thinking about quitting

That is one of the core statements of a study conducted by the management consultancy McKinsey: 16,246 employees in ten countries were surveyed. The most important reasons for a career change are therefore insufficient remuneration (42 percent), lack of professional development and promotion (40 percent) and unrealistic expectations of managers (38 percent).

The three most important reasons for staying in Austria are flexibility (43 percent), a safe working environment (40 percent) and reasonable remuneration (39 percent). Salary is the most important criterion for staying in Europe. Leads professional development worldwide.

Across Europe, 34 percent stated that they neither pursue meaningful work nor receive support from colleagues: In this group, 79 percent want to give up their job.
