Agriculture distributed the annual meat export quota to the US

According to data from Institute for the Promotion of Argentine Beef (Ipcva) of last December, The United States remained in 2022 as the fifth destination of the cuts Argentine bovines with 19,804 tons, 3.2% of the total export share.

Regarding the export quota for this year, the balance of 1,616,164 tons that were not assigned will become part of the Free Availability Fund.

The process of inscription for the refrigerators those interested in the quota was opened on December 20 of last year, and its registration period ended on January 1.

Agriculture specified in the resolution that they registered 48 applicants to obtain an export license as in 2021 divided according to the Industry, Joint Projects and New Applicants categories, and that determinations had to be made with some interested for not complying with the established requirements.

Of the total assigned quota, 560,000 tons were awarded to six new applicants.

Lastly, the resolution indicates that the distribution made “does not guarantee the issuance of the respective Export Certificates in favor of the successful bidderswhich can only be issued after meeting all the requirements established by current regulations”.
