On Thursday, the Dax almost caught up on its losses since the start of the week. The leading German index closed 0.49 percent higher at 15,475.69 points. The MDax for medium-sized stocks rose by 0.88 percent to 28,706.49 points. The focus was on numerous quarterly reports and outlooks, which were mostly positive and thus spread some confidence on the market.
